SIGNAL HILL, CALIF. BOX (So. Cal.)

This hill top box was placed 1/19/01. Signal
Hill is surrounded by Long Beach, Ca. Find you way to the top of the hill
or if you are training for the Pacific Coast Trail or the Grand Canyon, park at
the bottom and hike up the hill from any direction to Hill Top Park. Use
the corner entrance to the park that faces the ocean in the distance. Look
for the built in compass points at the entrance. Look down the pointer
arrow that points at the second L in Signal Hill. In the distance you will
see a series of black arrow heads on yellow backgrounds. The box is hidden
in the looped road barricade under the
Rosemary plants between the two arrowheads on the left end. The box is a
very small tube about 4" by 2". You will be in plain view of the top of
the park so be discreet. If you take a trash bag with you and appear to be
picking up trash it will cover your actions. By all means, do pick up
some trash and enjoy the million dollar view.
